Maya muck aroundd.
just me muckin around in Maya. I made A little video of it actually flying and leaving a trial of flames but Vimeo is being annoying so I wont upload it tonight. (The first image is actually inside the ship.) I know it must seem like Im crazy about scifi or something but I just had some psd's lying around from Anh Nguyen and my Cosmo video, so just thought itd be easier to make a space ship and use them.

Alice in Awesomeland.....(fail)
Saw Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland yesterday and just thought I would vent how awesome I thought it was. Dont really know where to start, I cant really think of anything that disappointed me but one of the things I thought was really awesome was the concept design for the Red Queen's army. Following the original concept, all the troops are playing cards but the with the new scale like design they looked like they were wearing armor, kept the same shape and also the mobility of a playing card. I dont wanna go into it too much cause I wont be able to stop myself and Ill give away HEAPS of plot points so yea... Alice in Wonderland = win.

Oh snap.
Oh snap, btw I watched Steamboy again last night on sbs. Its been about 2 years since i saw it last and it never fails to blow my mind. So awesome
First post.
K, well.... my first post. UMMMMM.
Im Sean Jacobs. My favourite animators are Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away and Howls Moving Castle ( Awesome!) ) and LeSean Thomas ( Boondocks ( http://lesean.deviantart.com/ ) )
The way Miyazaki is able to implement extremely vibrant colours into characters and landscape without 'warping the reality' of the animated world. I am also blown away with the extremely dynamic yet appropriate poses during his animations and artworks. He uses peculiar angles with his animations which only intensifies the scenes he creates. The fact that he is also quite young and yet an experienced animator is also something to aspire to.
Animation has always appealed to me in many ways but I guess the most appealing aspect of animating to me would be being able to show others your ideas and see their reactions to something that came from your thoughts. Its a little difficult to accurately articulate my feelings toward animation.
If anyone is confused just ask me what I meant lol.
I would like to add a piece of artwork to each post to make my blog a bit interesting so here is my Old West Batman. Lines by http://2ngaw.deviantart.com/, colours by me. as far as the background, these clouds are just a trial version. I don't even know if clouds will be in the background when I'm finished but it ... accentuates the depth and the direction of the light quite well. The image can also be seen on my DA here http://babbagum.deviantart.com/art/Old-West-Batman-BG-trial-1-153364118 .
